They are part of the Deutsche Mark coins series. The Deutsche Bundesbank started issuing these 5 Deutsche Mark coins in 1951. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1975. This German 5 deutsche mark coin features the coat of arms of Germany, the ‘Federal Eagle’ or ‘Bundesadler’. Text on the 5 D-Mark coin reads ‘BBundesrepublik Deutschland’.
